AN EVENING OF SUBVERSIVE SOUNDS featuring live sets from
SPACE HEROES OF THE PEOPLE
Space Heroes of the People are an electronic duo recently described as “one of Oxford’s most underrated musical treasures”. Taking influences from synthpop, science fiction and Soviet politics, the group are somewhat reminiscent of Kraftwerk and Hot Chip. Hot on the heels of their ‘Dancing About Architecture’ E.P. the duo return to Aylesbury after a two year absence, to electrify the White Swan.

Listing Ships are a plucky post-rock four piece fromOxfordwho formed last year and have been captivating crowds since with their instrumental tales of the sea. And what with Stoke Mandeville allegedly being the furthest point inland from the sea, we thought you’d need a reminder that it even existed….
“The sort of almighty ruckus that could easily be marketed as a chest rattling expectorant” – Nightshift Magazine
“A nod to the jarring rhythms of legendary Louisville bands such as Slint and Rodan before easing into the expansive, airy sound of Tortoise and stretching out to the horizon” – MusicinOxford.co.uk
Sealings are a uncompromising Brightonduo currently assaulting audiences with their blend of dark pop, drenched in waves of distortion. Similar in sound to ‘Psycho-Candy’-era Jesus and Mary Chain or the more unconventional moments of Liars, the band have received rave reviews from the likes of Dazed and Confused and Neu Magazine.
“Two guys grinding axes with Satan by writing dark pop songs full of burning sounds and intensely bad ass groans” – Neu Magazine
